What happens if scores are tied?

Category: Scoring

When validated totals are equal, the competition’s published tie-break sequence applies. Tie-breakers typically use secondary skill metrics already in the performance record — for example accuracy rate, fewer penalties, stronger results on harder items, or earlier decisive timestamps.

If statistical tie-breakers still leave players level, some formats use a short sudden-death skill phase under equal conditions. Chance-based draws are not used as a routine way to decide skill rankings.
