Responsible Play

Calm, practical guidance for keeping skill competitions in proportion — including reminders, spending controls, limits, closure, self-exclusion, parental advice and how to contact support.

These tools and principles support informed participation. They do not guarantee that every user will avoid harm, and they are not a substitute for professional advice. Feature availability may expand as the product matures; legal review is required before launch. Availability and eligibility may vary by jurisdiction.

Skill competition as entertainment

SkillArena offers skill-based games and competitions intended as entertainment and measured challenge. Outcomes depend on performance under published rules. Participation should fit comfortably within your time, budget and wellbeing — not become a source of distress or financial pressure.

There is no obligation to enter paid competitions after you create an account or try free practice. Walking away from a format that no longer feels enjoyable is a normal and healthy choice.

Play-time reminders

Extended sessions can reduce concentration and enjoyment. Where account tools are enabled, you may set session reminders that prompt you to take a break after a chosen period. Reminders are informational; they do not remove your responsibility to monitor your own schedule.

Consider planning sessions in advance, especially on devices you also use for work or study. If you notice fatigue, irritability or neglected responsibilities, pause and return another day. Free practice and competitive heats will still be available when you are ready — there is no benefit to continuing while exhausted.

Spending controls

Where paid competition entry is offered, entry fees are disclosed in GBP before confirmation (for example £2.00). Spending controls — such as daily, weekly or monthly entry-fee caps — help you keep competitive spend within a planned limit.

Controls are most effective when set before you feel frustrated by a result. Entry fees are not a mechanism to recover previous fees or to “make back” a shortfall. If you find yourself increasing spend after losses or disappointments, stop and use a cooler moment to review your limits or take a longer break.

Payment methods, statements and refund handling are described on the Payments and Refund Policy pages. Keep records of your own spending so that platform tools and personal budgeting stay aligned.

Account limits

Account limits may include maximum open competition entries, deposit or spend ceilings, and cooler cooling-off periods between paid heats. Exact tooling available at launch will be documented in Help articles after product and legal review.

Limits apply to your account for fairness and wellbeing; attempting to bypass them with additional accounts breaches Fair Play rules and may lead to suspension. If a limit feels too high or too low, adjust it when you are calm — not mid-competition.

Optional account closure

You may request closure of your account if you no longer wish to use the service. Closure steps, data retention and handling of any outstanding balances or pending prizes are described in the Terms and Privacy Policy.

To start a closure request, contact support@skillarena.bio from your registered email address during Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 (AZE time), or use the account settings flow when available. Closing an account is a deliberate step; read any confirmation screens carefully before you proceed.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is a stronger control than a short break: it blocks access for a chosen period (or indefinitely, where offered) so that returning requires a formal process rather than a quick login. Use it if you feel that informal reminders are not enough.

During an active self-exclusion, you should not attempt to open new accounts. Doing so undermines the protection you requested and may extend restrictions. Product-specific self-exclusion durations and reactivation rules will be published with legal review before launch; until then, treat support-assisted exclusion requests as the interim channel.

Parental guidance

This platform is intended for users aged 18+ who meet eligibility requirements. Parents and guardians should use device-level controls, shared-device passwords and payment-card protections to reduce the chance of under-age access.

If you believe a minor has registered, contact support so the account can be reviewed. Do not share adult account credentials with children or young people below the minimum age. Educational discussion of strategy games is fine; competitive accounts are not a family shared resource.

Support contact

For responsible-play tooling questions, limit changes, closure or self-exclusion requests, email support@skillarena.bio. Include your account email and a clear description of the help you need. Support hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 (AZE time).

If you are experiencing distress related to money, time use or mental health, consider speaking with a qualified professional or a recognised support service in your area. Our staff can help with account controls; they are not a substitute for clinical or financial counselling.

Company correspondence address: Lermontov 113/117, Baku 1001, Azerbaijan (ZAKİR BAĞIROV). Additional channels are listed on the Contact page.

Responsible participation guidance

Participate when you can give the competition reasonable attention. Read scoring rules before paid entry. Use free practice to learn formats. Set time and spend limits you can afford to keep. Take breaks after intense sessions. Treat other participants and support staff respectfully.

Avoid playing when you are angry, highly stressed or trying to compensate for an unrelated setback. Avoid borrowing money to fund entry fees. Avoid letting competitive results define your self-worth — rankings measure performance in a game, not your value as a person.

We will not use pressure language that urges you to continue until you win, promises that a win is coming, or encourages you to chase previous entry fees. If you see copy on this site that feels manipulative, report it via support so it can be corrected.
